It can also affect their emotional well-being by increasing their level of anger or irritability. Stressed people may also be more likely to turn to drugs or alcohol for relief.
Stress is the body’s response to any demand, real or perceived. It is a natural and healthy response that can be helpful in some circumstances. When stress becomes overwhelming and impedes in our ability to function in our daily lives, it means we need to take a step back.
