Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (mindfulness)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a research-tested treatment that helps people learn new skills to manage difficult thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. DBT teaches that conflict is a natural part of life and most human interactions are mixed with both positive and negative elements. When these opposing forces are balanced, relationships can improve and problems can be solved. Emotional regulation and distress tolerance are a focus in DBT, in addition to practicing and learning acceptance and mindfullness.
